About Us
The Washington Online Writing Lab (OWL) is a project initiated by Spokane Falls Community College and Centralia College in collaboration with Everett Community College and Shoreline Community College. Its developmental and pilot phases (from summer 2006 through fall 2007) have been funded by a Distributed Learning Development Project grant from the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges.
Mary Ann Lund Goodwin, Assistant Dean of Library Services and Distance Education at Spokane Falls Community College, is the Project Director.

The project’s goal is to provide writing support services to students at four community college campuses while assessing whether a shared tutoring program such as the OWL could be implemented and maintained by a group of colleges in a cost effective manner.
